Video game review: Marble Lines photo.

Pros: Fun, simple, and time killing

Cons: Not very attractive, very glitchy

3 out of 5 stars

Marble Lines is a casual game you can play on either or on Facebook. In the game, there are a number of different colored balls sliding across screens heading toward a hole. Your goal is to make sure that none of those balls fall in that hole. You have a catapult-like machine that shoots random colored balls, and you need to get at least three balls of the same color in a row in order to make them disappear, thus making other balls roll farther way from the hole.

This game is fun and simple; there is not a lot of complication to it. The only thing that gets tougher is the further you go, the more colors there are.

Once you start playing this game, it is hard to stop. The only thing that got me to stop playing was that at one point I failed and the game ended. This is a very good game to use as a time killer between classes. Just make sure you don’t lose all track of time.

However, it is not the best game in the world. It is not all that appealing to the eye. It is a very simple game layout and all you have to do is track the catapult and the different colored balls. Other than that, there is really nothing else. This can be good because too many things can distract you from the game. But would it have killed the designers to add something more than just the basics (which goes with its very bland name as well)?

The game can also be very glitchy. Every so often the game will stop and then, suddenly, the balls will have moved halfway across the track. This is very annoying and can cause a lot of losses for the player.

Overall, Marble Lines is a fun little game that will have you playing for hours if you have that kind of time. However, it does have some drawbacks with how bland the setting looks and with its tendency to freeze, earning this game only three out of five stars.
