Robot Wants Kitty is one of many in the series of “Robot Wants…” games. Unfortunately, this is the only one that functions.
Robot Wants Kitty is an 8-bit platform game made by Maxgames. Robot Wants Kitty’s story is self-explanatory — you play a robot who desperately wants a kitty but must go through a huge obstacle course to get the kitty.
The best thing going for this game is that it is indeed fun in the same way that Mario is fun. Simple and sweet. Also, needless to say, it’s cute. A robot who wants to have its very own kitty? Nothing gets cuter than that.
However, this game is not always fun. Sometimes it can be very frustrating. There are only a few checkpoints in the game and no matter how far ahead you are, if you die you will be sent back to that last checkpoint, no matter how long ago it was.
Also, the game takes more time than one would want. If you are trying to kill five minutes before class and are short on time, this is not your game. On the second try, it took about 20 minutes to finish. In other words, this is a game to play when you have some time on your hands.
The game is also a little repetitive. There is a stage where you jump from platform to platform, which gets boring quickly.
Eventually, you will want something with more substance to it.
Though this game is cute and silly and could be a fun game at times it, it wears down its welcome pretty fast. With schoolwork I should be doing, I don’t have time to sit down for 20 minutes to play this game when all I want to do is kill five minutes.
Cute and sweet, but too repetitive and too big a time waster. I give this only three out of five stars.
