Snapchat is a hip form of social media where users can send pictures of anything, from adorable puppies to morally questionable choices at parties.
The user has the choice to share them with certain “friends,” or send it to their story, which documents everything posted for the last 24 hours.
Recently, Snapchat has unveiled a tracking system called Snap Map.
Once it is turned on, you can view the location of others on your friends list and vice versa.
Now, in my humble opinion, I believe Snap Map is the tool of Satan himself. First off, when you go into the app and activate it, there’s an option right under disable that lets all your friends know where you are.
Before, it was too challenging to decipher if you were somewhere solely from Instagram posts, Snapchat stories, Facebook statuses, tweets, texts and word of mouth.
No longer will criminals and potential stalkers be shackled by a lack of info. This disgusting feature makes our close friends robbing us simply too easy.
This insidious feature will surely bring nothing but misery, to the profit of Snapchat.
It’s unbelievable that these corporations could collect data from us so easily. I can’t even walk down the street anymore without fearing that Mark Zuckerberg, brandishing a red bandanna, will sucker punch me, steal my phone and later rob me.
Companies just simply didn’t have this immense power before. I only have one word for this abuse of power by Snapchat: unbelievable.
