Daylight saving time is an annoying practice that is no longer needed.
It is an event that is difficult to adjust to, and the public does not largely benefit from the switch.
It is understandable to want to keep daylight hours in the summer.
However, it is my opinion that daylight saving negatively impacts sleep schedules.
Everyone knows that going to bed and waking up at the same time every day helps energy levels and is just overall good sleep hygiene.
Losing an hour of sleep is difficult for almost everyone.
Many people feel that even losing one hour of sleep impacts their energy level and throws off their schedule.
The daylight hours changing so rapidly from winter to summer also can be confusing and throw people off balance.
When it is still dark in the morning, it can feel like night instead of day.
And this is not to even mention the hassle of going around changing the time on all clocks.
Everyone likes their sleep.
Time is not something we should have to worry about changing.
Overall, daylight saving time is an outdated event that needs to be ended.
