Week of March 12 Women's hockey gets invite to NCAA Frozen Eight There is no greater feeling in sports than making the game- winning homerun or shot to win the game. Senior forward Stephanie Jones had this opportunity in overtime with the CHA Title on the line. With a great pass from senior Kristen Erickson, Jones was able to seal the 2-1 victory with the game-winning goal at 3:29 in overtime.
Men's hockey advances to final five in AHA The snow storm across the Midwest slowed down travel this weekend, but the blizzard did not affect the Mercyhurst College men’s hockey team, as it swept a best-of-three series in the AH Quarterfinals against rival Canisius College in the MIC.

Week of Feb. 11 Women's hockey sweeps Niagara; Agosta recovering from ankle injury Even with out the nation's top scorer, Meghan Agosta, the No. 7 Mercyhurst College women's hockey team (21-6-3 overall, 6-1-1 CHA) won a pair of games, 5-2 on Friday and 5-1 on Saturday, against College Hockey America rival Niagara (7-19-4 overall, 1-7-0 CHA) at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Week of Feb. 4 Women's b-ball drops sixth straight After pushing hard in two first halves, the Mercyhurst women’s basketball team could not hold on, falling to Saginaw Valley State 91-72 and just missing a victory to Northwood 68-67.
Men's hockey sweeps Holy Cross Punxsutawney Phil stuck his snout out of the ground and saw his shadow Saturday, meaning there will be six more weeks of winter. But while the Groundhog’s Day celebration was going on in Pennsylvania, the Mercyhurst College men’s hockey team completed a weekend sweep of the College of the Holy Cross at the Hart Center in Worchester, Mass.
