Chita Rivera to discuss Broadway career

The 80-year-old Broadway legend, Chita Rivera will be on stage discussing her life and Broadway with Dr. Brett Johnson on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 8 P.M.
Rivera is an acclaimed singer, dancer and thespian. Rivera has held such roles as Anita in West Side Story and Velma Kelly in Chicago.
She has been a Tony award nominee nine times, and has won two for her performances in the Kiss of the Spiderwoman and The Rink.
She has been in films and has made multiple television appearances. Rivera is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her significant impact on the national culture.
She is the first Hispanic recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor, which highlights exceptional performers.
Rivera is a beloved Broadway superstar. The interview, which takes place in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center, is open to the general public and free to attend. Everyone is encouraged to come.
