Bad manners bother
February 7, 2011
It’s a fact that winter weather in Erie can be horrible. With days of cold temperatures, blustery winds, and snow and ice, most people I know dislike it or at least dislike walking in it.
Still, this is not an excuse for rude behavior.
Frequently in the past month, I have been walking behind someone into an academic building for class, and the door has shut right in my face.
There has not been even a halfhearted attempt to hold the door, even though I’m certain they knew I was close behind.
Come on, people! It’s cold, wet and snowy, and I don’t want to be outside either.
But have some common courtesy and hold the door for the person behind you. How much of your time will that take? Not more than five seconds, most likely.
Do it.
