Mercyhurst is raising tuition by 3.5 percent for the 2016-2017 academic year. This is the lowest tuition increase in more than a decade.

The new increase was approved by the Mercyhurst University Board of Trustees at the Feb. 20 board meeting. This new increase will bring tuition and fees for undergraduates to $34,480.
In the past decade, tuition increase has averaged 5.8 percent.

Earlier this month, Mercyhurst became the first school in western Pennsylvania to partner with American Student Assistance to provide SALT, a financial literacy program, to its students.
