Kids N' Sibs brings the circus, inflatables to Mercyhurst

Mercyhurst’s annual Kids N’ Sibs event will take place Friday and Saturday, and all are welcome to come participate in the numerous activities going on.

This year’s theme is the circus, and activities will include the Solo Circus Show, face painting, a balloon artist, a juggler, a reptile show, an inflatable obstacle course, a nine-hole miniature golf course and a caricature artist. The Student Activities Committee (SAC) is going to have raffles for prizes, and there will be circus food such as popcorn, cotton candy and marshmallow peanuts.

Sophomore Megan Helton is an executive board member who is helping to plan and run the event.

“The goal of Kids N’ Sibs is to let students and their siblings spend a weekend together and have a wonderful time at Mercyhurst College. I am looking forward to the miniature golf the most,” she said.

Junior Benjamin McCormick is also a member of the executive board and signed up to help run Kids N’ Sibs weekend on the retreat that SAC has for its members. McCormick enjoys being involved in SAC.

“It is cool to be involved with events and to have an instrumental say in what’s going on,” he said.

He is looking forward to seeing the reptile show and encourages all students to attend even if they are not bringing siblings.

Kids N’ Sibs begins Friday at 4 p.m. with registration and continues until Saturday at 5 p.m.
