Lauren Ganger

Lauren Ganger, Arts and Entertainment Editor

Lauren Ganger is an English and Music double major with a minor in Philosophy. In addition to editing the Arts and Entertainment section of the Merciad, Ganger has performed in the Mercyhurst Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Civic Orchestra. She has also sung the role of the First Lady in The Magic Flute, Micaëla in Carmen, and the Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto with D'Angelo Opera Theatre, and she sang the soprano solo in Vivaldi's Gloria with the Mercyhurst Concert Choir and Civic Orchestra. She was selected as the Music Scholarship recipient from the Women's Club of Erie and has also won several awards for her essays, including the Mercyhurst University P. Barry McAndrew Essay Contest and an Honorable Mention in the British and World Literature category at the Sigma Tau Delta international conference. After graduation, she will be entering the PhD program in Musicology at the Eastman School of Music.
