Things to do in Quarantine

Chloe Sanfratello, Staff Writer

Has anyone gone stir crazy yet?  Since we are all stuck inside for a while, it is important to still take care of yourself. There are so many things to do from home to keep you from losing it

While there is only so much you can do before boredom strikes again, hopefully these things will help keep you occupied for at least a brief time.

  1. Baking

Now while you may be thinking this is something you might not be so good at; baking is all about experiments. You do not have to be good at it. It could take some trial and error, but you have all the time in the world to do it.

The best advice for this is that there are so many easy recipes to follow out there. There are peanut butter cookie recipes with just four ingredients!  But, if you are feeling a little more ambitious, you could find a homemade cookie recipe online. Plus, it takes a lot of time out of the long days.

  1. Spring Cleaning

Every year I go through my closet to see what I do not want any more or what does not fit. It not only feels good, but this usually takes a huge chunk out of my day. This is the perfect time to do something like this.

After organizing everything, you could even shop for a new wardrobe online. This could also give you some motivation to go through other things in your house you do not need or want.

  1. Arts/crafts

It may seem silly, but recently I pulled out an old childhood coloring book to color. I found it so therapeutic. It led me to order some canvas and paint online to paint pictures of my own. This is a time to be as creative as possible. Maybe repaint your childhood bedroom wall or an old desk you have

If painting or coloring is not for you, you could even learn something new like crocheting or sewing. There are so many videos online to teach you how to do things like this. Be creative!

For many right now it seems tough to get motivated and you may just want to stay in bed all day, but taking care of your mental and physical health is so important. Hopefully, these few boredom busters will help you along the way.

Please stay safe, wash your hands, and stay home unless you absolutely need to go out.
